I had an odd dream/journey after I asked for inner guidance about my focus for the future. Two powerful images emerged. I zoned out and my awakening vision was of writing an original song – for you, for me, for us – because I immediately moved to my computer and began writing not what I had dreamed but what was coming up in the moment
The original song
I hadn’t done so for several years, but I’m now again writing poems from my soul all the time, and just not in the poetry form I used to use.
I awoke from my journey with the need to write a poem. It didn’t quite turn out the way my poems used to, in fact only a line or two here and there seemed poetic, but two important messages emerged that we both need to hear.
“What is my next?” I went into this meditation with that question. And I awoke as if writing the words to a song – an original composition. It brought tears.
We’re each writing our original song. Did you know that’s what you’re doing? Singing your original song! It could be a song of love, of healing, of wisdom, of encouragement, or – it could be all of those.
Each day, in every moment, with every choice, and word and action, you’re composing your original song. A song only you can sing, a song only you can offer to others.
The recharging station
The second powerful image came when I found myself writing about how nurturing my space is because it’s filled with all the meaningful energetic things I’ve collected over the years.
But I also noticed that the only new things in my home space were computers. They are my connections to the world. How I learn. How I contribute.
That’s when I saw myself as a recharging station, a place where people pause to explore whatever ideas and insights I share and find themselves a little bit recharged, a little bit changed. Then they move on.
We are each both of these things
You are writing your original song every day. Sing it, orchestrate it. Get it out to others.
Know that whoever comes in contact with your original song will feel something and be changed. They may be inspired, they may be motivated, they may be startled into a new direction. Whatever it may be, your energy – the energy of your work, your persona, your presence – will change them.
You recharge yourself by your choices
What you read, or don’t read, what you learn, or don’t learn, who you see, or don’t see – these are all choices that affect your energy – they recharge you or they drain you. They encourage you or they wear you out. Or something in between.
If I’m a charging station, what am I offering?
People today are like hummingbirds hovering to sip your nectar. In this era of electronics, people only stop for a sip. But some of the sips are more nourishing than others and the hummingbirds may stay or come back because of how it makes them feel. How does your charging station – your presence – make people feel? What do you offer when they stop by?
What is your original song?
Distance yourself from what others are doing. Be original. Be different. Be present and focused and in the moment. What’s your gift to others? How do you nourish the people who come through your life? Do more of that.
My answers are…
I want to offer people a recharging station that sends them out into the world with more confidence, with an awareness of their connection with everything and with confidence in their purpose and place of power in the collective consciousness. I want to offer inspiration and insights to extend and expand their journey.
I want my original song to offer ideas that deepen their purpose and escalate their journey. I walk beside them on the path and shine my light for this part of their journey. I encourage their transformation.
