Meet Beyond Our Differences

Meet Beyond Our Differences

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.  – Rumi

We’re all one energy.  There’s only one of us. That’s the field where we meet – that place where we’re only one essence. It’s our mutual home, our collective energy. When we come across a viewpoint that seems to be at the opposite end of the spectrum from ours, look for the light within both of you. Find our mutual original energy and begin there. Build from that united one-ness.

Can you do that?  Can you rise above the rhetoric, the differences and see each of us, all of us, every one of us, as a light being and then in your heart, hold the highest good for each of us?

When one plucks at a thread in one place, it’s connected to many others; and when one piece is moved, an unraveling begins to occur. It makes one pause before picking a thread to pull!

But we’re all one energy.  We’re all interconnected.

When you feel as one with others, you’ve arrived at the field beyond.

Go there.

How to Embrace our Differences

December 15, 2016 By Cara Lumen

celebration

It takes a lot of looking into the heart of the other person in order to understand how alike we are. Rather than be put off by how different we are, how can we learn to feel more connected because of our similarities?

We are all one

A human is a human regardless of his or her size, shape, color, beliefs, accent, personal choices, spiritual practices or beliefs. That’s really all that matters. We are all made of the same stuff. We are all expressions of the same Great Mystery. Start there.

We can learn from our diversity

There are lovely customs and ceremonies and celebrations that what each culture offers. Take what resonates and add it to your own spiritual practice and leave behind anything that does not resonate.

Accept the uniqueness of different versions of life. Each generation has their own take on what they have been taught. I’m 84 and have been influenced by the civil rights movement, the women’s liberation movement and men landing on the moon. There are ideas and beliefs I was taught as a child that no longer apply. Age alone can set you apart.

Children today have been born with a much greater capacity for technology. It’s demanding their attention. They will be affected by it in ways we have yet to uncover.

It’s not wrong to be old. It’s not wrong to be drawn to the technical. It’s just different. A different calling. A different approach. And probably a different outcome.

You way is not right for everyone

I’ve been a vegan for four years and a vegetarian for 40. We are a small part of the population. That doesn’t make us bad or stupid or undesirable. It simply means we have made a choice that resonates with us and that’s different from the majority of the population. I don’t try to talk anyone else into my lifestyle. I simply live it and exemplify it.

I’ve been intellectually curious all my life. Only a small percentage of people are. That doesn’t make us right, or smarter, it just makes us different. Each of us is honoring our own being-ness. That’s a very good thing. We get to honor and respect and appreciate our diversity.

Allow your being-ness to attract

What I can do is live my truth and let it draw to it the people who feel the same way. In my case, I have to go online to find those people and they are usually a lot younger than I am. The more deeply you become involved in a concept or idea, the fewer people there are to talk with about it. You may have to go searching for like-minded people.

Don’t preach. Don’t enroll. Simply be.

Be an example of the idea you embrace. For instance, my enthusiasm is contagious. It helps people take a deeper look at what I’m sharing. My clarity of explanation helps people examine an idea from a different direction. What conclusions they draw and what they do with it are totally their own to do. I’m just being me.

What is your line in the sand?

I walk away from anger. I walk away form hatred. I walk away from judgmentalness. People with that energy are not people I want to interact with. And I watch in dismay as some people try to force other people to do it their way.

Take the actions you need to take in your own life and leave others to make their own decisions. You do not need to approve or believe in what others do. You can draw your own line in the sand.

You can protect yourself by walking away from a situation, by sending your healing energy into a tense situation and if appropriate and the other person is receptive, have a conversation that allows you to explore each other’s understanding, beliefs, fears, and viewpoints.

Look for the beauty in others

Take what you need and adapt it to your own beliefs. For instance, I’ve taken one course on shamanism and listened to 14 people speak on the topic. I have learned about the rituals and beliefs held by centuries of indigenous people about the earth energy. I learned, I took what resonated with me and my current life focus. My purpose was to feel more deeply my connection with nature. And now I do. I am free to take what I need and want and resonate with and be grateful that someone is preserving all that earth wisdom.

I’m grateful for the people who are using group energy to help bring peace to the planet and I’ve enthusiastically joined group meditations for peace. I can choose the methods that resonate with me and simply be grateful that so many people are looking within themselves for ways they can encourage and maintain peace.

I’m grateful for the people who create restaurants that specialize in their native food, otherwise there are eating experiences I would never have. When people bring their unique cultural viewpoint into a situation, there’s learning available for everyone.

How do I change my communication in order to work with this person from another community, from another country? What is their belief system that I need to know about in order to not unconsciously offend them? Honor each person’s cultural background and belief system. Look for our one-ness.

Eliminate your judgmentalness

I don’t like killing animals and I have relatives that hunt. It is so ingrained in them that all I can do is avoid conversations about hunting.

I don’t have the same beliefs about the aging process as anyone else in my senior community. As a metaphysician, I have chosen to look for examples of life and living in people who are much younger than I am.

I’m teaching myself not to say judgmental or critical things about others, so I carefully avoid people who do. They, of course, can do what they want; but I choose not to be around that negative and judgmental energy.

Where else do I need to eliminate my own judgmental-ness? Being judgmental can sneak up on you, so keep a look out for those moments when you move into looking at the negative instead of the positive.

What do you have in common?

You may have to look closely for what you have in common, other than being part of the same web of life. How are you alike? What are your shared attitudes and expectations? What are your common goals? Look for how the other person or people contribute to the higher good. And look at how you do.

We are all one. We are interpretations of the same humanness We are all united in the web of life.

Look for what we have in common, and build on that.

The Power of Our Aura

The Power of Our Aura

Living Our Deeper Song

Ashe
(“Ah-Shay”)
 The Creative in me honors the Creative in you!

I have been fascinated by the idea of our biofields. They are our energy fields. I first began to hear the word used in relation to working with tuning forks. I thought it was something new until I was on a healing summit and realize that the biofield is the aura I’ve known about for over 50 years. I can feel the edges of a person’s aura. I can interpret the energy of a room, or a person.  I can interpret the energy of a crystal. As can you when you listen.

Everything is energy. Which means it has an aura, a biofield that we can feel and experience. Have you ever walked into a room and suddenly felt it was a great place to be?  That’s the aura of the room. Or have you been in a situation in which the tension was so great that there was not only negativity but a thickness about the aura? You couldn’t wait to leave the negative energy. Learn to listen to those intuitive nudges.

Sensing an aura is about teaching yourself to feel subtle differences. Stand 30 feet away from a person and slowly begin to move closer to them. Be aware and tune into any energy change. Sometimes further away but around 6 to 8 feet you will actually feel this field of energy. It is the aura of the person. You just have to practice experiencing it

Why, you ask. Why should I learn to sense the aura of another person? Because it is a profound form of communication. It is energy speaking to energy. Our thoughts have energy but when you start reading the energy of a room or the aura of a person, there is a deeper feeling of understanding and connection.  Use your intuition to interpret the aura, the vibration of another person, animal, plant, rock, or place. Learn to feel, experience, and interpret the biofields around you.

Remember the last time you came across somebody whose presence immediately made you feel happier and more joyous because of the energy they put forth? That was their aura. Do you ever wonder what kind of aura you put out? I’m not sure that you have many people in your life that you can ask what your aura feels like but if you do, by all means ask.  If not, take a guess. What is the energy you’re putting forth at any given time?

When I walk down the hall to get my mail, I could purposely send forth positive energy into every apartment door I pass.  When I walk outside to take the trash, I can make certain to pause and feel the energy and aura of nature. When I send out my newsletter, I will more consciously add energy to it even though positive energy goes into every word I write and every step I take in producing it.

When I was writing my small books, I put a book blessing in each book to share my energy with those who read them.  Even today I add a vibrational blessing to this newsletter when I send it out.

The energy we put into our work stays within what we put out. It is our essence. It is our aura. What kind of message are you sending because of who you are and what you were thinking?

DEEPER SONG AFFIRMATION

I am now aware that my aura extends far beyond my body and I work daily to make certain it is a positive expression of my center.

DEEPER SONG PROCESS

  • Begin to experience and explore energy fields – the energy of a person, the energy of a situation, the energy of a tree, a rock, or your pets. Learn to feel the edge of an aura.
  • Work with your consciousness to raise the vibration of your aura, the energy that emanates from your being.
  • Set the intention to have it always be a positive experience for those who come in contact with it.

===INNER WORK===

Deepen Your Meditation Practice

The benefits of meditation are so great that perhaps you want to pause and see how you might expand or improve your meditation practice. If you don’t know how to meditate, find a quiet place to sit comfortably and focus on your breathing. In and out. In and out. Keep focused on your breath and continue to teach your mind to be quiet and still. It is in this inner stillness that your inner voice can speak with you and give you guidance and insights and messages.

You can use a mantra if you want – Om, pronounced aum, is often used. You can use a mudra which is a hand position to deepen your mediative experience. For instance, palms up, one hand resting in the other. Work your way up on the length of time you can meditate. 20 minutes might be a goal.

When I learned transcendental meditation in the 80s, it was suggested that we meditate when we come home from work so it made a clear space between work and home. Some people will meditate when they first get up. You’ll find your place. Experiment. Meditate daily so you get in the habit. I have placed a meditation chair in my living room to look out the window at nature. My meditation begins and ends with a connection with Gaia.

Experiment with when you meditate and where you want to do it. Perhaps bring meaningful objects into that space – crystals, a candle, a plant, a bell. Create a space that allows you to consciously move easily into the stillness within and be present.

A New Centering Practice

In the recent Shift Network Qigong Summit, I learned a hand movement that is a fabulous way to begin meditation. If you are seated, with your hands facing each other at hip level, bring them up as in drawing up a column of energy from Gaia – deep healing and wholing energy. When you get your hands up beside your head, turn your palms down and take hold of your thumbs, raise your elbows so your arms are parallel to the floor and begin to slowly bring the energy down again. It’s this last move that blew me away. For me there was huge power in lowering my arms with my thumbs folded into my fingers.

Bring the energy up with the palms open and facing each other on either side of your body, at the top close your fingers over your thumbs, turn your palms down and bring the energy down. There are many powerful qigong moves like that but this one is one of my favorites. Enjoy.

===SELF-HEALING===

Allow for Natural Reset

To reset is to return to a state of balance. We can learn to do that consciously as we move through our day. Take a conscious pause to reset your physical body. Take a deep breath. Empty your mind. Take another slow inhale and exhale. Relax your shoulders. Look out the window. Empty your mind and be present. You can do this sort of reset wherever you are. It’s as simple as a focused conscious breath, a conscious relaxing of your shoulders and body and a stilling of your mind. Do it often.

Find a place in your day that is a good reminder to pause and reset your focus and your intention. I could use the moment I sit at my computer before I start to log in. I could take a few deep breaths, relax my shoulders and consciously empty my mind with an exhale. I can do that when I walk into my home from the hallway – pause to reset my energy – take another deep breath and consider the energy I am bringing into my home. I definitely want to reset my focus and my consciousness before I go to bed to release all the thoughts and considerations and even the events that I experienced and find a way to move consciously to turn the mundane into rest and restoration and sleep. What kind of reset buttons are you going to use to consciously focus a moment and reset your direction?

Be Patient With the Self-Healing Process

It’s tricky not to get discouraged when the self-healing process seems to be a lot slower than you had in mind. How do you stay strongly optimistic rather than fall into discouragement? It may help to keep track of your progress with an actual date written down somewhere. You may need to journal the smallest of shifts. Noticing change for the positive is one of the easiest steps you can take to keep aware of the progress you are making.  Record your wins – today I did one more step than yesterday. But also stay open to how and what you need to change to continue your self-healing process. What new steps do you need to take? I have added some new Qigong moves to my spiritual practice.  I need to encourage myself to walk more. You are the only game in town. You are the only one that can encourage yourself, or cheer yourself up. We constantly set new goals and set about to achieve them. It’s tough being the only person in charge of this particular process pf self-healing. But that’s how it works. It’s our body. Our responsibility for our life. Our unfolding. Our choices. We create our reality. How are you doing with yours?

===OUTER  WORK===

What is Your Relationship with Nature?

I love the shape-shifting clouds in the Midwest.  They nurture my imagination.  There were not many clouds in California and who knows what was in the sky above the tall buildings in New York, but here I can raise my gaze and enjoy.

As a child, I remember that when it rained, I loved to play on the wraparound porch of my grandparent’s house.  I was sheltered from the rain and yet an integral part of it.  It was me, my imagination, and nature.

When was the last time you stopped to listen to the sound of rain on the window and watch the drops meander their way down the closed window?  Or watch the snow build up on a branch, or pick up an acorn that has fallen to the ground?

I remember sitting at the edge of a sandbox in New York City watching my granddaughter play and I looked down and saw this incredibly beautiful seedling coming out of the sand.  I looked up to see where it had come from and there was a huge oak tree.  I admired the seedling for its tenacity and wished it luck…

When was the last time you took a meaningful pause in nature and when will you do it again?

One Step At A Time

After watching Sharon Stone in the Shift Network Qigong Summit offer a standing qigong practice designed to strengthen my body, I decided I would add that to my life. It’s as simple as taking time to pause to stand straight, shift your weight to stand on one leg and rotate your ankle or open your hips.  The whole series was about standing on one leg at a time to let all the muscles do their job and get stronger.

Strengthening my body is as simple as consciously standing straight for a focused period of time, engaging my core, straightening my spine. Sharon has one move in which she hugs a tree while standing on one leg. Her arms are in front of her hugging an imaginary tree. I love that image to stand there and hug a tree. And you are strengthening your shoulders and your arms by holding them in that outstretched position.

Can strengthening my body be as easy as regularly standing consciously in an aligned posture to allow my energy to flow more freely? I can do that. Add more moments of  conscious standing in which  you hold a weight-bearing posting on one leg as you straighten and  strengthen and allow the Qi energy to flow to your body and see what changes.

===DEEPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL PRACTICE===

Conditioned Space

We can condition our space to make it more welcoming, more receptive, more supportive in how we want to live in it. I have a meditation corner. It has a chair that is turned to look outside at nature. My native flutes are within reach and I play them every day. I use my Kalimba Thumb Piano and Spolum Drum – the musical instrument of happiness   (There are much cheaper ones but this explains it well.) There is a flexible structure to my morning meditation and ceremony. My space in that corner of my living room has the intention of being a sacred meditation space. It has a purpose. It is furnished for that activity. And it supports my meditative practice.

What space do you need to condition in your home? Is it your sleeping space? Your food preparation space? Or a meditation corner? Set an intention for the space, set it up so it supports the activity, and condition it to make you welcome.

===HOW TO BE A STRONG CONTRIBUTING MEMBER OF THE DIVERSE CIRCLE OF LIGHT BEINGS===

Hold High Watch for Our World

The negative eruptions on our planet are so blatant, it is hard to understand the lessons we are learning and what steps we are to take. I do know that everything is vibration and with our conscious focus we can continue to keep our vibration raised. That doesn’t mean we don’t take action. It doesn’t mean we don’t take steps and help. It simply means that we keep putting out into the planet the higher vibrations so that others can see it and raise their own.

===BROADEN YOUR HORIZON – EXPAND YOUR VIEW===

The Power of Energy

Everything is energy and we can make changes in our lives and in our world by working with energy. Part of the work is visualization, but most of it is simply raising your own vibration. Before each meditation, I bring energy up from Gaia and energy down from the cosmos to become a pillar of light. (Become a Pillar of Light podcast) I move into my Transcendental Meditation as part of my spiritual practice. I play my native flutes and drums and kalimba and gongs as part of my daily meditation practice. It is easy to connect with nature through the window I face. Take those pauses. Take conscious pauses while walking down the street. Hug a tree and connect with its deep roots and soaring branches.

When I lived in New York City, I was a block away from Central Park which was great but otherwise, I had to walk five or six blocks to Lincoln Center in order to see the full moon. So I spent a lot of time imagining Mother Earth beneath the concrete. Now I can look out the window at the tree and the earth and the clouds and watch the sun set. That works for me. How are you enriching your meditation practice this week?

===OUR EVOLVING FUTURE===

What Really Matters in Your Life?

I’ve been thinking about the Ukrainians forced to leave everything behind. What really matters in your life? What would you bring with you if you could only bring what you could carry?

I would bring my cat, Sebastian. And then I saw a news clip of a man whose rather large dog was so frightened that he lay down in the road and wouldn’t move. Ultimately the man took him back to his apartment where he felt safe and left him behind. That would be super hard.

A 17-year-old boy was scared because all the men had to stay behind and fight. A kid, a young person. A male person. Had to learn to fight to protect his country. The women move on alone bringing their children with them. Peaceful people learned how to use guns and are prepared to do so.  One day you were having breakfast and suddenly your life totally changed and you are protecting your life and your homeland.

Then imagine being in a new country with perhaps a different language, no place to live, no way to earn a living. How do you even begin? It doesn’t matter that you were an executive in a company because the company is gone, the job is gone, the friends are gone, the income is gone, your home is gone, your life is gone. What would you have left to begin again that you would be grateful for?

Your gifts. The things you’ve learned in your life, the skills, the ideas, the beliefs, the wisdom. You are grateful for the Foundation of Self you begin to build on again. Step-by-step. Perhaps in a way you’ve never considered before. Yes, some doors have closed. But others will invariably open. Be receptive and ready to act. We don’t have to be forced from our homes in order to be aware and grateful for the gifts of our talents and our mind and our strength of character.

Help the Ukrainians any way you can. Some people are providing shelter, some are providing food, others are helping people relocate.  I just know that as an 89-year-old woman who uses a walker, my cat Sebastian and I would simply stay here and do the best we can with what is handed to us.

What are you grateful for? And how are you helping those who are in need?

Google Ukrainian relief and see how you can help.

Despair In The Young

A friend of mine is a narrative coach in France, and she seems to have attracted a lot of teenage clients which rather surprised her. But she reported there is a lot of suicide among teenagers because they cannot see a path forward.

What keeps us going? What keeps us looking for new paths, new ways through, new solutions? And what makes us give up?

If you cannot see your path forward, that’s a tough one. I’m sort of hoping that as the changes in my body keep happening for the better that my path will become clearer.  But I’m an optimist. So I keep believing.  We get what we believe we deserve and what we believe is possible. What if we don’t see a possibility for ourselves? How do we change that? I don’t have an answer here, I only have a question. How would you turn to help someone who cannot see a path forward?

How do we come to believe in ourselves and our gifts and our potential and our future?

For me, part of it was the expectation of my parents. They expected me to go to college. Unfortunately, I was in an era that mostly expected women to get married. I did that and didn’t work out so I’ve got to go exploring in wonderful new ways by myself.

There are a lot of new jobs evolving in technology but if you are interested in arts and literature, where do you turn? I have no idea how much fiction is being written today but I know there are a ton of self-help books that people are reading. So how do you evolve your life when you cannot see a future? I don’t have an answer. But I do invite you to turn to the teenage people in your life and see how you can help them move forward.

This Technique Makes a Difference

I have recently experienced a major healing in my body. And I have only added two processes to my self healing curriculum. One of them is this Lower Dantian Breathing Technique with Grandmaster Chunyi Lin.

It has had a positive affect and has created a major physical shift that has been in progress for over a year. I do this simple technique five or six time a day and in 10 days or so it has helped create a major healing shift.  Heal Yourself & Others With the Power of Qigong is the online class I begin next week taught by Master Chunyi Lin, Creator and Founder of Spring Forest Qigong. It is a powerful approach to self-healing. We will be guided through experiential journeys in which we will refine our body’s reservoir of energy — aligning our breath, movement, and awareness — and direct it to facilitate increased energy and the capacity to heal ourselves and others. If you are looking for self-healing, his websites are springforestqigong.com and chunyilin.com At the very least add this breathing technique to your daily practice

===CARA’S CORNER===

Self-Responsibility

We create our life by what we believe we deserve and what we believe is possible. That puts pretty much everything in our own laps. How is your life unfolding?

If I’m lonely, it’s up to me to reach out to someone. If I’m sad, it’s up to me to honor that sadness and yet release it. We are totally responsible for our own well-being in our own life experience. How are you doing with your life?

As I decide to take total self-responsibility for the well-being of my body, I have some work to do. Not so much in the belief that it is my responsibility because I accept that. But I’m now looking for ways to work with energy in order to create those changes. For me, it’s through intention and qigong moves.

It’s a tad scary to be 89 and feel like you’re the only game in town as far as healing your body. I got lots of ideas in the Qigong Summit. One is as simple as doing standing exercises to strengthen your ability to stand up. I have to do the work. It is my responsibility and if I want results, I have to take the actions that are needed to get those results. Self-responsibility and self-healing – how are you doing with that?

===SING A DEEPER SONG ===

Mine to Do

It is all mine to do – the strengthening, the healing, the expanding – my responsibility. All mine.

It is all mine to do – the strengthening, the healing, the expanding – my responsibility. All mine. I want this. I can do this. I deserve this.

It is all mine to do – the strengthening, the healing, the expanding – my responsibility. All mine. I want this. I can do this. I deserve this. I take one step at a time – with perseverance.  One step – then another. I walk the path to wholeness.

Help Your Inner Voice Speak Louder

January 27, 2022 By Cara Lumen

Help Your Inner Voice Speak Louder

Living Our Deeper Song

Ashe
(“Ah-Shay”)
 The Creative in me honors the Creative in you!

Universe is always talking to us. Are you listening? Do you recognize it as your Inner Voice? What are you doing with the information it gives you? The Inner Voice is a few steps higher than intuition. It goes into greater detail. Intuition is a hunch, a feeling. Your Inner Voice is a statement – often a complete sentence. In my case, often a series of sentences. But then I’ve been listening to my inner voice for quite a while.

A dear friend of mine recently made a decision to move ahead with a business project that she and I have been talking about for years. My mind immediately went crazy with ideas and content for her website and product ideas and I could hardly shut it off.  It was my Inner Voice dictating to me as fast as I could type. This happens to me fairly often. I wake up and a thought starts coming so I rush to the computer in the middle of the night to capture it. I might be doing something else when a thought pops in that needs to be captured right away and again, I go immediately and write it down, explore it, and capture the expanded idea. When I do this, I feel like I am simply opening a channel and typing what I’m told at the time. I often just dictate. It’s exciting. It’s relevant. And some great ideas are coming through. Clear ideas, complete ideas. Profound ideas. I trust my Inner Voice.

So how did I get to be such good friends with my Inner Voice? I paid attention. I stop and I listen when it shows up – even with a whisper. I have learned to interpret it through the nudges that it gives me, the phrase that suddenly pops into my mind and the complete sentences and paragraphs it often offers. Sometimes it’s like my Inner Voice is simply dictating and I’m just sitting there in the body vehicle to bring it in.

The more I listen to my inner voice the more I trust it. The inner world speaks to you in hunches, feelings, and sometimes opportunities. You have to notice and respond to what shows up. It’s not enough to receive, one must choose what to pay attention to and then explore it. What form does your inner voice speak to you and are you listening?

Be open to receive.

Practice listening to your Inner Voice and see how detailed it will get for you. Perhaps ask it questions for clarity. Practice following through on the responses that show up and see what great adventures they take you on. Learn to accept a feeling of inner knowing that supports you in making a particular choice. This is you talking to you. The more you listen the more you will hear. Keep listening to your Inner Voice. It has great insights and guidance for you.

DEEPER SONG AFFIRMATION

I listen to the wisdom and guidance of my Inner Voice.

DEEPER SONG PROCESS

  • Notice the nudges of your Inner Voice. Are they a complete thought? A visualization? A feeling?
  • Follow through on the nudges and notice how accurate they are. Where do they take you?  What do they reveal?
  • Ask your Inner Voice for guidance and clarity.
  • See where that leads you.

===INNER WORK===

Create Space Between Doing and Being

When we cultivate and nurture our inner world, our outer world prospers.  We must set aside time in our daily life to simply be – to be still, to be present, to be aware. To quiet our mind. To listen to our inner voice. It is in the silence that we can evaluate and explore and choose. We monitor our physical plane thoughts and bring them into order so that we can quietly listen to our inner voice. Find times in your day to be still to listen, and to simply be present in the knowing.

===SELF-HEALING===

Do The Work

The reason I am so immersed in understanding how self-healing works is that whatever is going on in my body is mine to rebalance. The doctors have not identified a “problem.”  There are no pills to take or procedures to have because what I think is happening is the gradual realignment of a hip that was tilted. How or when it got tilted I have no idea. But a year ago it un-tilted and my body has been uncomfortably and noticeably realigning ever since.

So what do you do if you have a physical problem for which there is no Western medicine cure? You start working with energy medicine. You learn about the biofields. You work with Qigong and acupressure and herbs and sound healing and visualization.  And you shift your belief system into the belief that your mind and your beliefs create your reality so the change that you want is all up to you. That’s why I’ve gone exploring. It is all up to me. I need to walk more in order to get my body stronger. I need to consciously stand up straighter to support my body in retraining itself. I have to change my beliefs, but most of all I have to take responsibility and believe that my choices and my intentions will bring my physical body back into balance.  There is no Western medicine procedure to straighten and strengthen my body other than me and the choices I make. What I do or don’t do. Whatever changes my body can manifest are totally up to my actions and my beliefs of what is possible. I’m pretty sure that’s the way it is in all cases. Whatever the symptom that is showing up is a request to change some of the choices you are making or have made and question the beliefs you hold of what is possible.

Now I’m pretty old, so at some point, my body is going to say, “Well we’re through here.’” And that’s OK. But meanwhile, I’m going to take responsibility and do the work to help my body regain some of its strength and flexibility. What do you believe is possible and what are you doing to make it happen? Do the work. You will get the results.

Restorative Self-Care

When was the last time you took a nap? Or a long hot bath? When was the last time you did nothing? Perhaps you sat and looked out the window and were simply present. Self-care is about pauses and choices. It is about meaningful pauses in which you evaluate and question the choices you’ve made and explore new ones. How do you give yourself restorative self-care and how often do you do it?

===OUTER  WORK===

Spread Understanding and Awareness

It was a huge shift for me when I realized that all this world changing was about the Divine Feminine coming into prominence.  When I did, a lot of what was going on began to make sense.  So I’ve been thinking about it and writing about it and sharing my ideas.  The more I am aware of how the Divine Feminine is manifesting, the more understanding I have about how it might unfold and what could be expected of me and how I am to change.  Share your evolving ideas with others.  Find those who are curious and questioning and concerned and together increase your understanding of the energetic changes and your awareness of your role in the unfolding new world view.

Be More Curious

We have to be curious.  We have to wonder what we don’t know.  We have to look for how we can do things differently. Then we get to go exploring to see what is available for us to examine next, to do next.  What new adventure will you have today?

Look It Up

When something needs adjusting in your body look up a Qigong move online for it – Qigong for eyes, Qigong for back, Qigong for shoulders.  The exercises are easy to do and powerfully effective.

I have taken several classes from Daisy Lee on The Shift Network but looking it up online is an easy way to add a few powerful Qigong moves to your life and health.

Watch for the Signs

It can be a thought, an insight, an opportunity – all are signs that the universe is ready for you to move.  What are people asking of you?  What situation is calling to you to heal and balance? What resistance has dropped and what new role is emerging for you to consider?  Whether it’s a major bop on the head or a small but potent thought, listen to the nudges of the Universe and let them guide you on your path…

===DEEPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL PRACTICE===

Intuition and Sacred Knowledge

The oracle card I drew from the SpiritSong Tarot was  The High Priestess – Lynx – Intuition and Sacred Knowledge.  Wow, do I want to be this.  I could live my life around intuition and sacred knowledge.  How do I go deeper?  How do I learn more? Where do I begin?

Intuition – I listen to my inner voice all the time and the more I listen the clearer the messages become. I listen and I take action. Sometimes that inner voice simply dictates into this newsletter.  It is a very busy inner voice.

Sacred Knowledge.  For me now that means finding the highest path I can walk and get on it.  It means looking for the guidance of the Divine Feminine as she makes herself known and adjusting as rapidly as I can to accommodate the new wisdom and direction.

If you drew the High Priestess – Intuition and Wisdom how would you build on it?

Nested Meditations

Nested meditations first came to my attention in the June 2004 issue of Spirituality and Health magazine in an article called “Surprised by Grace” by Kevin Anderson, PhD.

Writing a nested meditation is like opening a surprise package. Once you write the first line you are open to unexpected revelations on the succeeding lines.  You don’t have to stop with three lines either. Just keep going. Each line becomes a meditation. You can write more than three lines. You can use the same start and conclude it differently. You can change the punctuation, or a single word within a line. It is a flowing, living expression of self.

How to Write a Nested Meditation

Sit for a moment and choose a phrase that comes to mind which you then write down on paper. It becomes your first line.

Then you write the first line again and add a second line.

The third time you write lines one and two and add a third line.

It’s the third line that often comes out as a surprise for me. You can change the meaning of the words by changing the punctuation.

===HOW TO BE A STRONG CONTRIBUTING MEMBER OF THE DIVERSE CIRCLE OF LIGHT BEINGS===

Turn the Page, Begin a New Chapter

We are not who we were yesterday and we are not who we will be tomorrow.  Our life story is constantly changing.  So however messed up our past was, we can always start now, in this moment, to make new choices and hold new expectations.  You are not your past, you are your potential.  Turn and look ahead.  Where do you want to go? Take a broad look and then go exploring until you find the path to your new future.  The past is over. It is an old story. How would you like your life to unfold next?  Perhaps remember the lessons but leave the old story behind. Today is a brand new day – the beginning of a new chapter.

===BROADEN YOUR HORIZON – EXPAND YOUR VIEW===

Know the Size of Your Sphere of Influence

Some things I can change.  Other things are not mine to do. Understand the edges of your responsibility and tend to what is yours to care for.

There are global things that feel like I cannot control. I am not interacting with them on the physical plane but boy, am I busy on the inner plane – holding High Watch, sending energy, staying on the high road. Participate in change by using your thoughts and visualization to change everything.  Take specific action in your own sphere of influence and make it count.

===OUR EVOLVING FUTURE===

Outdated Information

Not long ago I made my living as a Content Development Coach helping people write the copy for their website. I loved it. I am good at it. However, it occurred to me only recently that it is possible that some of the marketing premises that I was basing my work on may no longer applicable. If I were still in business I know where I would turn, to Brian Clark for one and his innovative look at the digital nomad. But boy, is there a lot to learn in order to not only catch up but to keep up – let alone stay ahead. How has your business changed and what do you need to learn in order to adapt it to the unfolding new order of our rapidly changing world?

The Peaceable Kingdom

The Peaceable Kingdom is a painting by minister and painter Edward Hicks. The painting represents a prophecy in the book of Isaiah (11:6): “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them.

A Peaceable Kingdom seems a long way off right now.  What do we do?  How do we change?  What do we change?

Picturing a peaceable kingdom might be a good place to start.  What if everything we did was about compassion and caring? What if everything we experienced was about inclusiveness and generosity of spirit?  That’s exactly what we need to do – visualize it into being.

It begins by monitoring your own actions.

It’s hard for me not to be a bit angry at the people who have ideas and beliefs that are in such opposition to mine.  I’m very inclusive in my embracing of different forms of spiritual expression, but I’m having a much harder time with the people in this country who, to me, seem only to care about themselves, not about the higher good for all.  But see, that’s judgmental of me.  I’m not sure what to do about that, particularly when those who see the world differently than I do seem very intolerant of my viewpoint.

The steps I can think to take are to keep focused on the concept of a Peaceable Kingdom – where everyone exists in harmony. Hard to imagine, isn’t it?  What would that feel like?  It’s not so much about being in agreement as it is about making room for each person to have their own opinion, their own response, without the need to find affirmation or agreement by bonding with others to force their beliefs onto others and make your way the only way.

Peaceable Kingdom.  What would that look like?  What would that feel like?  How do we get there?

======THE UNFOLDING DIVINE FEMININE=== ===

What Makes You Feel Inferior?

A lot of the opposing positions that are moving into place are because if someone does not agree with your beliefs you begin to feel inferior.  And you turn that into defensive anger.  It is not easy to feel you are wrong. It is even harder to know you are wrong.  At least in America, there is a group of people who are negatively responding to being outnumbered in their beliefs, and are especially angered at definitely becoming a minority race.  And they are angrily fighting those feelings of being less-than.  Perhaps they don’t even know it.

Being around differences is challenging.  If I can’t eat with chopsticks, for instance, I may feel less than a friend of mine who can when we are in a Chinese restaurant.  That’s a small thing and perhaps barely noticeable, but it is those small comparisons that can build into resentment or unexpressed misunderstanding.

I know very little about other cultures.  It doesn’t make me feel less than, but I am not as sure of my choices among people of other cultures.

Uncomfortable, less than, different from.  What happens if we change that to expressions of diversity and broad cultural knowledge and the fact that there is so much to learn from each other, particularly from other cultures.

Where will you go exploring to expand your understanding of another way of being?  Are there people from other cultures in your workplace that you could get to know? What about a friend of a friend who can teach you about his or her culture?  I know so little sitting here in the mid-west.  The coasts are more diverse and I would have learned more if I had actively gone exploring with the set intentions of getting to understand the beauty and insights and gifts from other cultures.

The human was not meant to be one particular race. We are born into diversity and we must learn to live within the joyous beauty of that diversity.  How will  you go exploring another culture today?

 Living the Divine Feminine

A friend recently pointed out that I had been living the Divine Feminine for a long time.  And I flashed back to 1977 when I moved from the Kansas City area to New York City and lived there for 13 years.  I was 45 when I arrived and 58 when I left. I thought I went because my only friend, who happened to be gay, was going to NYC to be with his partner.  To this day, I do not know how it happened but suddenly in a single moment, with no debate, I knew it was time for me to go there too.  I made a trip to NYC and found an apartment in a former department store with 18’ high ceilings and a loft. It was above a grocery store on the Upper West Side.

My friend was going to help drive the moving truck with our things and helped me load it but then he had to go ahead for the first leg of the journey. So I drove a big moving truck from Kansas City to St. Louis by myself to meet up with him.  When we got to NYC a few days later, we unloaded my things at my apartment, then his things at his partner’s apartment, and I was the one who drove the rental truck to lower Manhattan, turned it in and took the subway by myself back to the Upper West Side.  I walked alone to my apartment and there I was – a new resident of NYC. On my own.  It was the most important shift I made in my life for it was in NYC that I got my metaphysical education.  My friend moved back to KC in a few years but I stayed for 13 years, I learned a lot and I loved every minute of it.

The Divine Feminine was strong within me even then and I am very grateful for her presence and her guidance and her great strength.

How long has the Divine Feminine been nudging you and where will you allow her to lead you next?

Universe is always talking to us. Are you listening? Do you recognize it as your Inner Voice? What are you doing with the information it gives you? The Inner Voice is a few steps higher than intuition. It goes into greater detail. Intuition is a hunch, a feeling. Your Inner Voice is a statement – often a complete sentence. In my case, often a series of sentences. But then I’ve been listening to my inner voice for quite a while.

Don’t Force the Petals to Open

December 30, 2021 By Cara Lumen

Don’t Force the Petals to Open

Living Our Deeper Song

Ashe
(“Ah-Shay”)
 The Creative in me honors the Creative in you!

I should be writing this in the spring but because it’s the end of year, I was imagining 2022.  And in my journey, I got “do not force the petals to open.”  I need to ease up and let the buds of change open in their own time.

I have to be certain that making plans does not close me in or keep me from finding unexpected and unusual options.  I have to stay fluid.  And the main reason I do is that no one knows what the Unfolding Divine Feminine is going to look like.  We’ve never had it before. So unlike past years, I cannot set specific goals because that would lock me into a closed path.

In the journey I took to find guidance for 2022, I got my Happy Hiker Guide who is a new guide for me. He wears a jaunty hiking hat with a feather and plays a flute to encourage me on the winding, uphill path.  He cautioned me not to lock myself in, to just stay open to possibilities, and I would have what I need to examine and evaluate every choice.

I don’t exactly have a plan other than to ease up on making action plans.  When an idea comes up, I will explore it from several angles.  I also want to watch what I change and how I change it because that will alter my choices and my potential.  Do I need to expand something? Do I want to explore something new? Probably both. That means I have to be willing to let go and/or change rather fluidly as new ideas and awareness ripen.

I like the idea of letting an action or an idea ripen.  Give it time to nurture itself in each stage.  A caterpillar changes who she is by dissolving herself and becoming an entirely new being. I’m not planning to go that far, but I do think it would be a good idea to leave some no-longer-needed things beside the path and move on. I just have to be aware of what I need to leave behind. Fear, apprehension, uncertainty, there is no room for those, we have too much exploring to do.  What we do need is a strong sense of what is important for the collective well-being so our choices support our inclusive values and keep us moving toward a higher level of participation and expectation.

Because the world is changing so rapidly and dramatically, we get to question every choice and many of our conclusions and that will take some practice.  A new possibility shows up and we have to squelch any negative thought and instead, turn the idea over in our mind to see how it fits into the unfolding world and if we have a role in it.  Then we can choose.

Over-arching broad goals help us prioritize, but long-range plans won’t work because the world is unfolding and rearranging its potential. We have to stay flexible and open to change. You can’t push the petals to open. You have to let them unfold in their own perfect time.

Most of all, keep an eye out for the unusual and unfolding potentials that are going to come tumbling in.  Go exploring, give it a try, and see where it takes you. Stay nimble and fluid.  The world is going to give us a fascinating ride.

DEEPER SONG AFFIRMATION

I eagerly explore the new ideas that come from the Divine Feminine.

DEEPER SONG PROCESS

  • Question how you see the role of the Divine Feminine.  She has just begun to reveal her potential and the form she will take. What idea do you need to release?
  • Explore what calls to you and examine its potential.
  • No need to choose yet, just explore and examine and consider its possibilities in your life.

===INNER WORK===

Review Your Year

This is a helpful reflective exercise.  Answer the following questions:

2021 Review

What went well this year?

What didn’t go so well this year?

What did I learn?

What I will do differently?

What will I do more of?

As new opportunities unfold ask:

Where is this leading?

Is there a role in this for me?

Do I want that role?

Do I want to explore more or let it move on?

We are going to be flooded with new ways to do things and it is an opportunity to get to know ourselves as we are now and to make some choices about where we want to go next.  Go exploring and be selective. The Divine Feminine is going to take us for an exciting and adventurous ride.

Develop a Habit of Inner Listening

I’m helping a friend explore and discover and establish her next path. My major advice is to listen. Listen to your inner nudges. Pay attention to the unexpected opportunities the universe provides. I do a lot of my exploring by writing. It doesn’t make any difference what I write, it’s that I write and in so doing open up a clear path for my inner voice to speak to me. It always helps me sort things out. It helps me explore a new possibility. You might dictate your thoughts into a document you keep on your computer. Just dictate it and give it a title. And a date. I’m big on using a table of contents to keep track of that kind of journaling in order to have an overview of my thoughts. When you get in the habit of simply dictating an idea, you’ll be surprised at what you reveal. Start listening to your inner voice and see where it leads you.

Expect the Best. Do Not Settle for Second Best

We get what we expect. We get what we believe we deserve. We get what we believe is possible. Do not settle for second best.

This is not just about optimism, this is about expectation. I believe in wholeness, high vibration, cosmic consciousness, and oneness. As we live our human lives in this huge collection of humankind, we must raise our expectations and our beliefs and take the highest road possible. Expect the best, do not settle for second best. You deserve it.

===SELF-HEALING===

Vibrational Work

I am creating positive changes in my 89-year-old body and it is very comforting to experience the power of vibrational work in the bitfields.

I do Qigong each day. But I also do acupressure.  I have set up a table near a chair where I have put all sorts of acupressure tools and my tuning forks. I sit there several times a day and work with my body.   You don’t have to know the meridians, just find the sore places in your body and massage them. It’s not at all strenuous.  And it is producing results. I also do intentional humming to send vibrations to my body. This is an easy self-care habit to acquire.

===OUTER  WORK===

Broaden Your Support System

Having the physical help I need has made a huge difference in the quality of my life experience.  It’s not easy to ask for help but when you experience the relief of hard-to-do physical aspects of your life being taken from you, the relief is huge.  I have added two physical pain support people to my team – a physical therapist and a fabulous woman who loves to clean.  They have changed my world.  I have a core group of friends that I talk with regularly on Zoom that are a lifeline to intellectual curiosity and spiritual expansion and supportive friendship.  What or who do you need in your life that would support a forward motion? Where would you find it? And will you ask for the help? Keep broadening your support system.

When You are Aligned You Can Move Freely

I have no idea what’s actually going on in my body, but I woke up one day this week and my left hip was aligned clear up to my waist. And I could walk better, I could stand straighter. I have no idea what was released. I just know that the alignment changed and the result was dramatic. What is out of alignment in your life and what would one small shift do to bring everything back into a stronger connection?

Discovering Your Next

I used to be able to coach people into a new place of service but a lot of what I know how to do is perhaps no longer useful.  That said, your place of service is about following your heart and exploring and expanding your gifts into new places of expression and service.  For me personally, it has always been about what I can learn next.

I have a friend who is 68, retired from her profession but wants and needs to create income.  Some of the things I know to do to create a new career path are still valid – if a target audience is too far into the need to simply survive, they cannot move from that into a higher consciousness level of exploration (Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs). But I think we teach what we want to learn.  What do we know, what do we want to learn, how do we put that together to move ourselves and others forward?

In our conversation, we discovered a deeply  personal and relevant aspect of my friend’s past that could be the starting point for evolving her next plan of service.  My suggestion is to simply begin going in that direction to see what unfolds and how it feels.  In her case I suggested she get one document on her computer and start writing and exploring any relevant ideas that show up. And let that intuitive writing open the door to new possibilities.

First, you have to identify the problem that you want to help others solve.  It may be something you want to learn too. We learn by teaching. We help others learn by sharing our process of exploration, discovery, and change.

The form is secondary.  She wants to teach, she wants to write, there are technical steps like websites and list building to take. But first, you have to know who you want to serve and how you want to serve them.

What do people need?  What has changed dramatically that you can help them with?  What is the problem you will help solve?

My main message is to explore deep within yourself to find what new direction is ready to emerge that will take you where you need/want to be next. Then turn and bring others with you.

Go exploring to discover your “next.” Then make it happen.

Mark the Trail

I was working on my thoughts for the coming year and I got “I am to go exploring and mark the trail.”  What does that mean?  What does that look like?  The exploring part I get – I stay open to what calls me to learn and understand next.  Part of the trail I leave is what I write or podcast about, but the majority of what I am to do is experiment and share what I learn.  It will probably not be my personal path because my role is explorer and path-finder and way-shower.  I am to stay free and loose and full of curiosity and report what I discover – the possibilities, the changes, the new insights.  I am to explore and share what I find.  I can do that.

Use Your Curiosity As A Compass

Our curiosity is a gift. It is a guide. It is a planner of adventures. It opens new portals and shows us the path. Do you listen to your curiosity? Do you nurture your curiosity? Do you take time to explore what your curiosity suggests might be a new adventure? Pay attention to your curiosity and take time to follow its nudges. It will show you the way.

The Flexible Plan

A plan is only as good as the results it produces – if it gets you where you need to go. Sometimes there are detours that add unexpected richness to the experience. Be open to those. Take a few steps, stop and examine the new vista, then make new choices based on the new view you have just acquired.  That means every step forward requires you to stop and look around to see what has changed, and choose which direction to go next.  Life is one big stepping stone after another.

Do take the next step. Do take another step.  Do explore the ideas that pop up.  Your insight, your decisions, your choices are the springboard to your version of “next”. Choose away.

===DEEPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL PRACTICE===

Are You Open to Possibilities?

As I use intention and focused vibration for self-healing, I have to keep looking at the subtle changes that show me a path to new possibilities.  They can be subtle and I may have to look closely for them but change is constant when I look for it.

When inviting change into your life, we have to be alert to subtle nudges and gradual changes.  Trust  your spiritual practice.  Trust your self-healing practice and stay open to the possibilities they suggest.

Do You Allow Yourself to Receive?

Self-sufficiency is a good thing – unless you carry it too far. Do you allow yourself to receive? Are you aware of what is being offered? Do you accept it with graciousness? Sometimes the gifts are very small and you have to look closely in order to notice them. Sometimes the gifts are downright life-changing.

Notice what is being offered to you by those around you. Notice what is being suggested to you by the energy of the universe. Allow yourself to receive. You deserve it. You are worthy. Allow yourself to receive.

===BROADEN YOUR HORIZON – EXPAND YOUR VIEW===

Where Are You Looking?

I have to raise my gaze.  I am looking down, at my body and my work to strengthen it.  That seems immediate.  But it is not what I want to focus on. Raise your gaze.

As I sit here watching all manner of new opportunities and challenges make themselves known, allowing themselves to be considered, they point the way to a whole new path for moving forward.

We have to question and explore and consider everything that shows up to see how it resonates with our personal path and the path of the Divine Feminine as she moves in to redesign the world.

Maybe you begin to make a list of new things that are possible that were not in existence last year.  There is new science, there are new ideas, there are new social causes.  I feel like I am skimming along on the surface of a roaring ocean trying to find the landing place of my next place of service.

Use your imagination to explore.  Use your curiosity to figure out new places of service. Where are you looking and are you looking broad and far enough? Raise your sights.

===OUR EVOLVING FUTURE===

How Do We Help Bring In The Unfolding Divine Feminine?

The Divine Feminine is unfolding and seeks expression.  I am to help her find ways to express herself and establish her authority.   My daughter is a top-ranking female manager in her company and her group is the only one in the whole organization that is working well.  The groups led by men are not.  She says she’s in meetings a lot which means there is collaboration and discussions and a group director.  That’s the way of the Divine Feminine.

Another woman friend is completing a cycle of major leadership and the male person in charge of finding her replacement, instead of looking within the organization for a person to promote, is looking outside.  A very masculine approach.

Can you begin to see the differences between masculine and feminine leadership in your workplace? What’s working?  How can you help bring in the Divine Feminine? How is your new role evolving?  Stay fluid.  Keep flexible.  She is making herself known.

Your Mind is Your Guide. Your Curiosity is the Compass

I got this message in a journey – “Your mind is your guide, your curiosity is your compass”. I cannot look very far into 2022 because the change is so deep and is just beginning to make herself known. Our job is to stay centered in our values and flexible in how we express then. And we even get to question our values. Are they based on inclusive concepts? I bet a lot of them or not. How do we build our place in this unfolding New World of the Divine Feminine? I think our job is to listen to look, to explore, perhaps even try out a few new roles. But most of all we must listen to our inner voice and what it tells us. Let your mind be your guide and curiosity be your compass.

Leave Space to Take a Wrong Turn

The wonderful thing about taking a wrong turn is the amazing new places you get to discover. That actually means there is no such thing as a wrong turn. Because wherever you are, there is opportunity. Don’t fill your life so full that you can’t take an unexpected turn and just go exploring. Each day should be an adventure not a march down a given path. There should be pauses to look around and check out the scenery. There should be pauses to feel and experience and absorb the energy of the moment. And make adjustments according to what you discover. Leave room in your life to go exploring. To try on a new experience for size, to see how it feels, to see if it will take you where you want to go. See what adventure it takes you on. Go exploring and leave space to take a “wrong” turn. You never know what magic you may discover.

======THE UNFOLDING DIVINE FEMININE=== ===

I Wrote Republican Liz Cheney

I’ve been a Democrat all my life but only recently realized that I’m actually a Progressive Democrat. So it was with interest that I found myself wanting to acknowledge Republican Liz Cheney for her work on the Investigating Committee for January 6.

I had to post my note on her Facebook page because I’m not from her state but I thanked her for standing tall in her beliefs and for being such an outstanding example of leadership in the emerging Divine Feminine. I know she will remain a leader of the thoughtful, inclusive Republicans who will split off and redefine themselves.  It is a changing time, isn’t it? We get to rethink everything.

Who do you see being true to themselves and helping the Divine Feminine emerge?  Perhaps you could acknowledge them.

===INTENTION BLESSING===

There is a new path we are walking.  It is the High Path.  The High Road.  It keeps us walking above the fray.

May we hear and heed the call of the Divine Feminine.

May we expand our hearts and our expectations.

May we walk the Path of Light with a sure foot.

May we keep our gaze on the summit.

May we take this journey with a full heart.

I entwine my light with yours and we move forward to guide the way.

My Unfolding Role in 2022

I’ve been journeying a lot to receive guidance from my spiritual guides so that I step into 2022 headed in the direction that is most powerful and effective for me.

Now that I see the Circle of Light Beings in all our glorious diversity, I am to focus on how we are to be contributing members to the Unfolding Divine Feminine. I know we are to play our individual harps and our individual songs but there is also an overarching composition that creates powerful change.  We will explore what that looks like and develop a new symphony of powerful, guiding, life-changing harmony.

The second message I got is that I am to establish a spiritual practice that is self-healing and informative to a rapidly unfolding world. I’m working on the vibrational self-healing part but there is much more to be revealed.

The guiding message was “Your mind is your guide. Your curiosity is the compass.”

Here we go adventuring….!

“She is planted in her own integrity, and there she stands, gnarled and knotted, perfectly at ease with herself, her roots deep in truth, her branches held up to let the light in.”  – Stephen Mitchell Second Book of Tao

I am that tree. Standing with my roots deep into the life I have chosen for myself with my gnarled branches offering shade and comfort while some are reaching the sky for inspiration and future growth. What is your tree of life like?

===SING A DEEPER SONG ===

Outreach

I have been here a long time. My roots are deep, my branches are spread, I have made my home, my place on earth.

I have been here a long time. My roots are deep, my branches are spread, I have made my home, my place on earth. My “next” is up to me – my choices, my expectations.

I have been here a long time. My roots are deep, my branches are spread, I have made my home, my place on earth. My “next” is up to me – my choices, my expectations. I lift my branches and joyously reach into the Unfolding Unknown.
