An Exploration of the Unseen World

I was on a shamanic journey and I had a very powerful healing experience that opened up great opportunity to return and do more deep healing and discovery. I want to share that experience with you.

I have returned a few times to this healing place and each time more has been released. I am not clear what has been cleared and cleanses, I simply know that it has.

Granted, each metaphor in a shamanic journey is for us to interpret, but this is a powerful concept that I know will guide you into an amazing experience.

I’m Cara Lumen, spiritual philosopher and founder of the Deeper Song Community. I am a cosmic explorer who consciously travels into the unseen world to serve as a bridge to help us expand our relationship with the spiritual world. I share what I learn and guide those who are ready to the next level so we can sing a deeper song.

In this episode of Reflections of a Deeper Song I shay my Discovery of The River of Time.

Shaming journeying is a form of mediation. We go to our Sacred Garden, which represents aspects of us, and are given metaphors as messages that only we are to interpret.

The message of the River of Time is for all of us.

It’s always a powerful experience when we learn to release an unknown blockage – an unknown belief.

And because you do not know the specifics, you lean to trust – trust the process – trust the healing – trust that the necessary blockages and beliefs will be released – and trust your interpretation of the metaphors.

You become very observant of the sublet changes that manifest from this experience of releasing.

This particular journey does all of that.

I did not know this was a healing journey until it simply was. I don’t ever remember my intention but it turns out this journey was about releasing and clearing and clearing. Here was my experience.

I went into the meditate state of a Shamanic Journey.

I found myself by a river. It was flowing from my left to my right. It was not deep. It was clear and I could see the smooth water-worn rocks beneath the gently moving water. I stepped into the shadow part of the river. Immediately I saw dark colors move out through the bottom of my feet. I felt nothing, no emotion, no sense of release, I just saw it go. Something was leaving me, something no longer wanted or needed. I mentally reached out through the bottom of my feet and content with Gaia, earth, the molten cleansing core, and brought that powerful energy to help continue the exodus of whatever was leaving my body through the soles of my feet, streaming into the shallow water. I stood there for a long while. The black color I was releasing though my feet became grey, and then a more smoky in color.

Still standing in the shallow water, I opened myself up to my Soul Star. Immediately powerful energy came in through my crown and gradually moved from my head through my body and out my feet, Again clearing and cleansing and releasing as it went. I did not know what it was clearing out I simply stood there and accepting that release of what was no longer needed in m life and in my body..

Then I was moved to sit down in the water, up to my neck, my arms around me knees. Immediately more blackness came out of the right side of my body ,being carted away by the water that was flowing from my left to my right. I felt nothing. I just watched it move out of my body and knew I was being cleansed and healed and rebalanced. The color went form black to dark blue to ever increasing lighter colors until it was iridescent – fun of rainbows.

Now here’s the part I have not yet interpreted. A very large fish showed up to my left, she was gold and she simply smiled at me. I have no idea what that meant. I have a feeling she is a new helping spirit but I do now know her role.

And at that moment I knew I was in the River of Time and I was releasing stuck energy from the past and the present and was clearing the way for my next, my future. Clearing cleaning, releasing. All from simply sitting in the River of Time.

What powerful gift. A way to let go, to make room for. How extraordinarily freeing.

I have been back to the River of Time several times since, sometimes with a specific request, sometimes just to offer myself for a clearing of whatever needs to be released at this moment. It is a very powerful journey. This is a very powerful healing metaphor because it lets you release the unknown – the unknown blockages, or wounds or… It just lets you – let go.

This journey allows you to trust. To trust that whatever is rebased is what needs to go and you don’t have to know exactly what it is.

I did not have a plan for releasing anything. It just happened. What I released is still unknown to me but because of its color and how the color gradually lighted in color, I interpreted that to be healing. A release. A cleansing.

I have never gone to the River of Time with an intention to heal a particular experience or wound, but I could. I could set an intention and go to the edge of the river and see what I was invited to do. I may be invited to toss in what I want to release into the River of Time. I may simply put my fingertips into the river. Or I may dive clear in over my head. Whatever happens, it is a metaphor for change, a metaphor for releasing what is no longer needed or wanted or even releasing blockages that are unknown.

I still do not know what the big gold fish as about, but she defiantly smiled at me.

So we have a metaphoric healing process that lets us release the unknown, that encouraged us to trust that what is being released is beneficial.

Ans we get to trust the process, the experience and notice what changes manifest.

I have been back to the River of Time in a journey several times. I have gone with a specific intention to release a blockage in my body. It is a welcome place, a soothing place, a clearing place and place of change. My River of Time has fluffy cumulus clouds reflected in it. There are birds singing in the surrounding forest, there is sun shining on its surface. When you journey to the River of Time notice the landscape around it, the direction the river flows, what you are called to do. Let the River of Time lead you into this clearing process that will be unique to you.

I like the idea of the River of Time. It means I can go back into time and heal from a timeline of the past. It means I can take positive action in the present moment that will clearer the energy for my future timelines.

Use your imagination. Remember that everything in your journey is a metaphor that only you are to interpret. Let the River of Time guide you and heal you and use it often.

An Exploration of the Unseen World

I was surprised when I realized that The Unseen World needs us – it needs us to translate, to pass along their messages and teachings and guidance. We need to learn to pay attention. We need to learn to understand.

I use shamanic journeys to explore the unseen world. I know that the objects I see are metaphoric messengers and that is one of the ways the Unseen World communicates. How it guides us, how it teaches us. The Unseen World needs us in order to share its wisdom. We are their translators and interpreters of the Unseen World.

95% of All That is is Unseen. Not only do we need to go exploring, but we need to learn to bring back the message we are given. We can help the Unseen World communicate with us here on the planet? One of the ways they guide us with their wisdom is when some of us go to the unseen world and learn to interpret what we are shown.

That’s why we are seen as transformative leaders. We are to go to the Unseen world and bring back guidance and insights and interpret them for our planetary experience. We can do that.

In this episode of Reflections of a Deeper Song, we give some thought to Why The Unseen World Needs Us

I was very surprised when I heard the idea that the Unseen World needs us. It was in a shamanic group I am in lead by international Shamanist Hank Wesselman. He shared the idea that there is a vibational force that is huge but it is largely ignored by people on the planet. But it has major, important, valuable guidance to give us, that we must learn how to gather and how to share.

We are messengers. We are interpreters of the Unseen World.

We have work to do.

I don’t know where I heard that 95% of the universe is unseen. In fact, I think as actually 94% and who is measuring and how? But the fact is there sure is a lot we have to explore and try to understand.

It begins with our intuition, that subtle but powerful “knowing” our next step. That hunch that turned out to be right on.

We have all daydreamed or visualized at some point. That is the Unseen World speaking to you. I use shamanic journeys to visit the Unseen World and know I am to interpret the metaphorical messengers from the unseen World to receive the messages from the Unseen World. There are many ways to explore the Unseen World and our charge is to interpret it. To be one of its voices, if you will. Then we are to live hat we learn and also turn and share what we understand. We become messengers, interpreters. We are to be a voice for the Unseen World.

What can we do to turn the wisdom we receive from the Unseen World into an individual awareness, individual understating, individual application here in our body personal?

Let’s explore what the unseen world is and how we know it is there. What kind of messages it may want to offer us and what we are to do with those messages?.

What is the Unseen world and how do we know it is there?

What makes things grow? What makes the weather change? What makes the stars in the galaxies? What is beyond what we, here in a planetary presence can even imagine?

My understanding is that we are all part of a vast Oneness. Call it the Great Mystery, The Void, The Nowhere That we Came Form, All-That-Is, Tao. The name of it needs to be non-human, it needs to be so indescribable that we cannot restrict its power and capability by trying to describe it in the limiting vocabulary of being human.

We do it though open stillness.

The more I listen to the Unseens World, the clearer the messages become. My best writing comes when I close my eyes, listen to the words I hear from my inner voice, and type what I hear. I listen to the words that are being moved through my fingers knowing that I am being guided by the Unseen World as a messenger from them – to you, to us, to whoever listens.

Of course, none of this is provable to us here in our limited physical presence. But, we know. We know there is more. We know that we are limited here on earth. And we know that a major core part of us is part of something greater, more inclusive, more unknowable. We are not separate, we are elements of a greater whole.

So we start here, where we are, and move inward.

We need and welcome the wisdom and guidance of the Unseen World What do we offer it in return? Why does it need us?

We begin to explore the unseen world by first listening to our intuition. As we listen more closely to our inner voice the more we trust it and respond to it. The more we listen the more we hear. What kind of messages does the Unseen World want to share through us? How do we help it be heard?

We have a body We have a mind, we have words, we can communicate with other humans. The unseen world has none of that so we are truly messengers, interpreters of the Great Vastness. We just have to learn to listen.

The more I listen the more I hear. I did not plan to create this particular podcast script I just knew I needed to write it down so I could figure it out. So there I sat, typing away, listening as hard as I could to my inner voice and wondering what would show up next. I listened. And I was given what to say. I, Cara Lumen, sat there in my body, with my eyes are closed and my fingers transcribing as fast as the ideas came in. I was listening to and hearing the Unseen World share with both of us, with me, with you. I am a translator, an interpreter as I figure out ways to apply what I learn.

You can hear the Unsend Word when you pause and listen.

I think the Unseen World speaks to each of us a bit differently because we are sitting here in our individual personas with different skill sets and interests and callings. We are looking for different things. We are given different insights. So when we ask, we are given work that fits with what we are capable of doing, what we are called to do. We get to choose if we help or not but it’s exciting when we do choose to become the voice of the Unseen World.

What are we to do with these messages we receive from the Unseen word? That depends on who they are for.

I listen because I am a passionate learner. I am curious. I am excited about what I am finding. When I am given a message fro the Unseen World, I love to turn and figure out what it means for me, for us, and then I turn and share what I learn with others. In a way, I’ve been doing that most of my life – the exploring part at least. But I’m 87 now and have a lot of stored-up experience and insights and can make some very interring connections from one point to another. It’s great fun actually. So we serve where we are called. You may be called to focus on one particular aspect. Do that. You may be called to explore a lot of pieces and figure out how to put them tougher. Do that. I just keep going deeper, being drawn to explore and interpret what I am shown, the insights I am given.

You will know. The unseen world will tell you how you are to serve.

There are many ways to explore the unseen world mediation, dreams, journeying, chanting, dancing, art, whatever form, it takes you to a vibration higher than your body so you can experience and recognize the part of your that is Unseen, the part of you that is being shown and taught and guided by the Unseen World.

How do you do that?. How do you explore the unseen world? Begin with your intuition. Begin to notice unusual circumstances that show up. Do an intentional shamanic journey and ask what your role is, what you are to share, how you are to share How are you to serve as an interpreter of the Unseen World? Then figure out how you, in your individual planetary expression are to turn and share what you have learned with others. Perhaps you teach, perhaps you simply live what you have learned as an example. Perhaps you simply absorb what you learn and build on it for another time.

We are messengers. We are messengers that the Unseen World needs. Be in service. Go listen. Interpret what you are shown. Figure out how to apply it to body being and then teach it share, it, live it by example – whatever you are called to do in your own self expression.

The Unseen World needs us. We are its messengers. Let’s go exploring and learn to interpret and share its messages.

95% of the world is unseen. But it wants to communicate with us here in our physical container. How do we contact it? How do we understand it? Is the Unseen World an “it” or a” we” or a “them”?

I have used the meditative form of a shamanic journey for a number of years to explore the Unseen World. And the more I listen the more I hear. The Unseen World speaks in metaphors and we must learn to interpret them.

I think of them as Metaphoric Messengers and I value their guidance.

Our inquiry in this episode is about Metaphorical Messengers and the Unseen World

The first time I tried to take a Shamanic Journey I only had the sense of sitting around a campfire with others but I could not see them. I just knew they were there. It took me several journeys before I began to recognize the metaphoric messengers that were to be and are my guides. They bring me answers and insights and nudges from the Unseen world. You have your personal Metaphoric Messengers waiting for you too.

The unseen world needs us to do their work. We need them to point out the way we are to move forward. We need each other to communicate. We just need to be observant.

So immediately we have a few questions

Why do I want to explore the Unseen World?
How doest that change my experience here my planetary experience?
How do I access this Unseen World?
Let’s get to it.

Why do we want to explore the Unseen World? What’s in it for us? We’ve got enough going on here on the physical plane…

We are in an unprecedented period of change. What better time to access the overview, the guidance we need from the Unseen World. It Is 95% of everything so surely there are some helpful insights and guidance available there and a whole lot of overview….!

We search for an answer in the unseen world. We search for guidance and clarity and insights we don’t even have the questions for.

Here’s the challenge – and the opportunity. When we receive this guidance from the Unseen World, we have to be willing to examine our past choices, develop new approaches, and recreate ourselves to respond to the new message. Perhaps choose a new platform, a new form of service, even a new foundation. We are creating our future in the here and now and our choices in the present are molding what we manifest in the future. We need to make thoughtful choices.

That’s why we want to explore the Unseen World – to get guidance and insight and overview.

So if we go exploring in the Unseen World and gain new insights, what does that change in the present?

You know how limited we are here in our physical presence with the restrictions of our emotions and mind. When we begin to open ourselves to the unseen world it begins to raise our energy into a higher vibration that enables us to live in and manifest higher good, greater clarity, more compassionate choices. We become a raised vibration that will positively and consciously affect our entire planet.

That sounds rather good. Exciting actually. So how do we access this Unseen World?

We access the Unseen World in meditation. We begin by setting up our Transformative Shield and Connect to our Gaia Gate and our Soul Star. Then we set an intention in the form of guidance we wish to receive and go to our Sacred Garden and wait. Your Sacred Garden is a metaphor for you. Everything in it is you and when something in it changes that is a change within you.

The Metaphoric Messengers shat show up are just that –

they have meaning to you and they bring messages only you can interpret. If you don’t understand the message, simply ask for clarity.

Accept whatever Metaphoric Messenger shows up. It may be a guide or a guardian, or simply an awareness you need to experience.

It may be an animal or a place in nature or a person. What does that image mean to you right here and now and what is their message? See what message is given just to you – only for you. If you need more clarity ask for it.

I have a fairly wide variety of helping spirits. Many are animals but there are people-shaped metaphors too. Trust that what shows up is an insight you are ready to receive.

Now that you have messages from the Unseen World, what are you going to do with this powerful awareness?

Each time we visit the Unseen World the vibration of our body energy is raised. Our light increases. Our effect on the collective continues to expand.

We become a bright light of Being. Our vibration raises and we experience new responses from those around us. We become more aware of the subtle nudges of the Unseen World that come in the form of thoughts and unexpected awareness. A knowing. As we expand our journey practice, we visit the Unseen World more easily and our answers and insights become clearer and more profound.

Our raised vibration becomes a bridge, a bridge from our physical pane expression to the higher vibration we all share. Our awareness increases. Our sensitivity expands. We are in deeper connection with the Unseen World more of the time. And the messages we receive place us in deeper and more profound service.

This inner work places us in the space of our Soul Star where we exchange messages with the Unseen World. Where we hear the messages of agreements that were made before we came to earth. Messages of our Soul Star. Guidance from our Soul Sta. Insights from the overview of our Soul Star. Messages from the Unseen World in the form of metaphors we alone are to interpret.

Take time to seek your metaphorical messages each day. Sit quietly with a question or an intention and then journey to your Sacred Garden to gain deeper clarity and guidance.

The Unseen world awaits us Will you open up to the Metaphorical Messengers that are ready to guide and heal you?

In this episode, we’re going to explore ‘How to build a Launching Pad for your Inner Work.”

I learned Transcendental Meditation in my 30’s. (I’m 87 now.) Yes, I did it because the Beatles did it, but it was a rather amazing experience. That was probably my first foray into the Unseen world. There have been many since then.

The more I explore the Unseen World, the more I am shown. I think we are taken to the next step when we are ready. But here are several steps you can take to build your own launching pad for exploring the unseen world. I have a few easy ones to begin with.

Because working in the inner world is unseen work, we can’t exactly make any plans. We must simply learn to open ourselves up to unexpected possibilities. We can develop techniques to take us on the inner exploration but where we go is, well, simply where we go. Our job is to stay open and learn as much as we can when we do journey to the unseen world.

First, we have to build our launching pad.

There are three foundations steps

1- Deepen your roots for stability.

2- Broaden your horizon by expanding your awareness.

3 – Listen to your inner guidance

Roots hols us in place

Roots are our foundation. We get to build roots, but we also get to examine what we already have in place to be certain they are creating the foundation we want and need.

So how, exactly do we Deepen our roots for stability?

Let’s begin by seeing what foundation you are standing on. Take a close look at your personal spiritual belief system. Have you gradually and organically developed your own spiritual belief system based on an exploration of – whatever spiritual practice called to you?

Or are you are still caught up in what you were taught by someone else along the line that were really their beliefs, not ones you want to embrace

Question your beliefs. See what core beliefs are guiding you today and if, in the light of where you are in your life at this point in time, they are still valid. Release those no-longer-true-for-you beliefs. Question all of them. Expand your beliefs as you expand your consciousness.

I took a comparative religion class in college. I had never heard of many of the ones we studied. I came away wondering how am I to know if what I believe (as a presbyterian encouraged by my mother) is right? It’s a question I’ve been exploring all my life The answer is there is no right – there are only variations of our human core longing for oneness.

I have built a strong foundation in metaphysics upon which I have layered Taoism and Shamanism. Each one of those conscious explorations has given me insights and tools for inner growth. I have adapted and selected what called to me, what I wanted and needed. I continue to select and adjust every day as my awareness of the unseen world expands.

You deepen your roots by examining your spiritual foundation and making certain it is relevant for what you feel and think today.

The second step is to broaden your horizon by broadening your awareness

Look up . Look out Look under. Look over…Keep looking.

First, you have to believe there is an unseen world and then you have to believe you can get there.

Affirmative prayer was one of the first tools I used to have a conscious effect on life. I spent a lot of time taking the negative thoughts and beliefs out of my vocabulary. It made a big difference.

Along with that was added a deep awareness of the power of my own words and thoughts. One of the most life-changing phases is “you get what you believe you deserve and what you believe is possible.”

Change your thinking, change your life. Change your words, change your life.

I retrained myself to speak and think in positive phrases. It transformed my life.

So one of my early awareness was that my words and thoughts and actions created my life experience.

That was a form of working with the unseen World but at that time I did not see it as that.

The launching pad for work in the Unseen Word that I currently use is shamanic journeying. It is a form of meditation – visualizing, intuitive, receptive meditation.

From a still and contemplate place within, I create a Sacred Garden where everything is a metaphor that only I am to interpret. And everything in the Sacred Garden represents some aspect of me.

When you ask questions of the Unseen World, you get answers. Some very obvious, some rather subtle.

I journey with a specific intention and interpret whatever metaphors show up – a guide, a protector, a helping spirit, an object, an element – that is meant for only me to interpret. The unseen world speaks to me through my meditative openness.

The amazing power of what is thought of as “Energy Work” is in direct contact with the Unseen World.

The foundation I’m building includes an expanding use of sound healing and deepening my Qi Gong practice so I can create a strong launch pad on the physical plane for these inner explorations.

You deepen your roots by creating ceremony and ritual that speaks to you, that centers you, that deepens your connection with the unseen world

So we’ve deepened your roots for stability by expanding our connection with nature.

We’ve broadened your horizon by deepening your awareness and connection with the Unseen World.

Th this step is to listen to your inner guidance and learn o interpret what you discover in the Unseen World.

What do you want to explore in the Unseen World?

Your mind can’t tell you what you want to explore because, well, the unseen world is invisible and our mind is simply our physical planetary mind, stuck in its humanness.

To access the Unseen World all you have to do is be willing to explore.

Set an intuition, go to your Sacred Garden, and ask a question. Then see what shows up.

You may know what you want to learn or you may need to ask your helping spirits to guide you. I spent many journeys asking how to raise my vibration in order to help lift the vibration of the physical plane planet. You know – a small project.

Once you ask a question simply listen to your inner guidance.

Once I ask a question, the answers begin to appear. Show me. Guide me. How can I? Please make that metaphor clearer.

Trust what shows up. Trust that it’s the perfect message for you. Trust that you’re interpreting it in the most supportive manner. Journal what you discover in order to give yourself more clarity. I sometimes draw a picture of the journey that helps me understand the message and serves as a reminder of what I learned.

I get an unexpected compelling idea and go exploring in a journey and that gives me a response that – of course – raises more questions or offers a wider variety of solutions. So I choose one aspect and keep ongoing. I can also come back and explore another path.

I journey every day.

How do you interpret what you learn in the invisible world?

That’s up to you and what’s calling you. I explore an idea that calls to me, figure out how to apply it, and write my ideas in posts and podcasts and my newsletter.

Sometimes I don’t have a complete answer, I simply have a new step to take which invites more questions.

Begin by exploring.

Begin with a simple meditative journey. Set an intention, close your eyes, listen to a shamanic drumming track if you like, and see what shows up. Journal what you experienced and perhaps draw a picture.

Repeat as often as you like.

Explore your ancestors. Explore your future self. Explore nature and learn her lessons. Explore your Soul Star. Explore the Unseen World. Trust what shows up. Trust that the lesson, the ideas for usage are just for you and it is time for you to hear it and understand it.

Deepen your inner work and go exploring in the Unseen world.

How to Partner with the Energy of the Universe

Adventures in the Unseen World

It is so vast we cannot comprehend it. It is so powerful it is beyond or imagination. We are part of a vibration that is truly All That Is. And we, here in our body suits, are a very, very small aspect of this all-encompassing vibration.

Everything is pure energy

We are energy. Everything is vibration and energy. We are made up of vibration, sounds, non- sounds, stillness, and silence. We simply are.

The Core Essence, this Elemental Vibration is invisible. Often the invisible comes to our attention thought sensations in our body suits. But primarily this invisible All That Is stays invisible.

We sense the pattern created by the vibration of All that Is, we can see its effect and we can learn from it.

The invisible is made visible through the cycles of nature

One core lesson the Energy of the Universe teaches us is the rhythm and power of cycles. Everything at every moment is in some stage of a cycle – waxing, waning, peaking. Cycles create a gradual and often imperceptible change but it is a consistent and constant change. There is a constant ebb and flow, of beginning and ending. Change is constant.

We can align with the power of the cycles of the Universe by observing and responding to the cycles. When we learn to flow with the cycles, we utilize the power of the natural flow of the universe.

The power of the universe teaches us to embrace the nature of unfolding

We are not aways aware of the gradual change of a cycle. For instance, we may not notice the change of seasons until one day a leaf falls at our feet. Before long the trees are resplendent in their magical glory and we realize the power of the cycles they are always in. It has been a gradual, unfolding process. A process of ebb and flow. A process of unfolding and collapsing. We are to learn from the cycles of nature. It is one way to partner with the power of the universe.

The moon teaches us patience with her waxing and waning. She too is in a noticeable and constant cycle of change. The cycle of the moon is far-reaching. It has great power as it affects the ebb and flow of all water on our planet – which includes the large amount of water within our body suits.

The power of the universe teaching us patience

Planets imperceptibly move around each other. It takes years to get to the nearest planet. Our evolution has taken millions of years. Patience and acceptance of the process of unfolding is a major lesson of the energy of the universe.

The Universe teaches us to notice, adapt and trust

The ebb and flow of the energy of the universe are evident in the unfolding of each day – dawn, mid-day, night. It is evident in the unfolding of our lives – birth, life, perhaps creating new life, dying. A natural cycle we all move through. When we pay attention to the Universe we will learn how to adapt and we will learn to trust the constant gradual change that is always taking place.

What lies beyond what we know?’

As we experience our lives in our body suites we sometimes feel very small.

But here in our body suits we also live by the cycles of the universe. When we adapt to them our life moves more smoothly. And part of our cycle includes our “next.” What comes after our body suit lives?

More cycles, more evolution more unfolding. The universe is in a constant place of unfolding change.

Unfolding cycles are simply the way of the energy of the universe. It is simply the way of us.

Embrace the power of the universe and the cycles of change that are its pattern of power.

Deeper Song Affirmation

I become more aware of the ebb and flow of the natural cycles of the Universe and I adapt to them and become more flexible.

A Deeper Song Process

Become more aware of the cycles of the moon. Don’t read what others say, notice how you respond to the moon cycles. When are you most productive? Take advantage of that. When do you seem to come to a stop? Honor that in your life choices.
Think of how you respond to the seasons. Do you have a favorite? One in which you feel more content? Just notice that and see what qualities you can bring into your life.
Look back over our life and identify the cycles you have lived through, what you learned or accomplished during those cycles. Where are you now? What stage of what cycle are you in? What does that mean for you? How do you feel about it? What do you do?
Be with that awareness
