I want to simplify my work. What will that look like?
I write shorter blog posts
This is huge because I get carried away when I explore a new idea. I’m going to see if I can present an idea from several viewpoints and turn it into a series of shorter posts .That will be a new way of thinking and writing.
I simplify my courses
I have learned from the online courses I am currently taking, that mastery is better achieved when the information is delivered in small, consumable pieces. That will affect how I outline a course as well as the format in which it is delivered. Simplification will bring about powerful changes.
I simplify my schedule
Now that I understand my working style, I have designed a schedule that I can keep. That will increase my ability to complete projects
I simplify my choices
My food choices become even more thoughtfully nutritious. My exercise is done more mindfully. I listen more closely to the requests of my body and respond to it. I thoughtfully say “no” when it best serves my purpose.
I simplify my friendships
I want to give more and take less. I can learn to do that. I encourage those who nurture me and release the others.
I simplify my space
I honor the beauty of simplicity in my space and keep it uncluttered. I will see what else I can give away.
I simplify my goals
I may break big projects down into small goals and celebrate their completion. I have done away with deadlines and allow projects to unfold and take the shape that serves them best.
I simplify my responses
Several deep breaths will precede my speech. I work to satisfy my own needs so I do not need to lean on others.
I simplify my focus
When I pet my cat, I will focus on the experience. When I walk the steps for exercise, my focus will be on how I do it. That’s mindfulness –simplicity of focus.
If you wanted to simplify your life, your work, your relationships, what would that look like?
